2 Corinthians 10 – 13

I want to become a devoted bible reading christian. I honestly am a little disappointed that I call myself a Christian and have not read the entire bible. I have tried several times but give up. Partly because I become so disappointed that I have fallen behind. I am going to be following Bible Gateways Chronological Bible in a year reading plan. This blog is mostly just the place where I am able to store my thoughts but if there is anyone who can benefit that is ok too. I will be reading in the New International Version. I may also add additional quotes from God’s word or posts about other topics as well.

I start today with 2 Corinthians 10-13.

We should not be waging wars, because we should love one another. We need to demolish arguments that goes against the knowledge of God. We also need to punish every act of disobedience.

We have all been “led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.” I pray that this reading helps us stay on track.

Paul says, “I may not be a trained speaker, but I do have knowledge.” Well I am not a trained speaker, and I don’t have much knowledge either.

I pray that my businesses can be like the brothers in Macedonia, able to provide for missionaries to spread the gospel.

“Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.” There are so many of these masqueraders today.

Just saw a fitting bible quote on Financial Peace University’s facebook page. “Be sure to know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds.” —Proverbs 27:23

It is strange to me that Paul says that he is boasting because I always take boasting as to be a sin.

Am I a servant of Christ? I am not sure that I am. I would like to be, but even Paul says he is out of his mind to talk as though he is a servant of Christ.

“I am more. I have worked much harder, been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, and been exposed to death again and again.”

I can’t say that I am more. I am less, I have worked much less, no prison, no flogging, and no death.

30 If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness.

Well I must set some goals for my counseling session that starts in 50 minutes. Weakness #1 procrastination

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

After all, children should not have to save up for their parents, but parents for their children.

We need to start saving up for Noah!

My counselor says I need to take charge of my family.

I think paul sums up his passage quite well. I will let him sum up my post.

11 Finally, brothers, good-by. Aim for perfection, listen to my appeal, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.12 Greet one another with a holy kiss.
